1) Open your page - as in click your name
2) Click on "Edit Profile"
3) Click on "Browse..." in the New Avatar bar
4) Chose the avatar you want from your computer
4b) Be sure that the img is 50x50
4c) The format should be PNG, JPEG or GIF AND then image must be smaller than 15 KB.
